SENIOR THAI CIVIL SERVANT DR RAWEEWAN BHURIDEJ AND HER DECIDEDLY SUSPICIOUS HUSBAND, MR PURIDECH

 At the moment we're still trying to pick our way through the Bhuridej family's convoluted connections and activities. Yet whilst the lives of the thuggish Jakrapob and dumb yet over promoted Jirabhop have been played out partially in public, the life of the eldest Bhuridej brother, Nattaphob, remains something of a mystery. 

We've been digging through a lot of raw intelligence on Nattaphob and it's now fairly definitive that he has significant business interests that are almost certainly very profitable. Many of these are linked to the hydro-energy sector and secretive Thai billionaire Sarath Ratanavadi. Most intriguingly Nattaphob appears to have forsaken his family name and used the surname Puridech in his corporate filings with the Thai authorities.

We can only speculate as to the reasons why Kla - the Bhuridej family nickname for Nattaphob - might choose to file his business holdings under a different surname.



 One of those reasons might be that his spouse is Dr Raweewan Bhuridej. Ms Bhuridej is Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment at the Thai government, obviously a very powerful figure particularly when it comes to deciding where government resources and contracts get handed out. 

Furthermore she appears to have a significantly prominent public position with links to both the UN and the World Bank.  

The obvious conflict of interest between Ms Bhuridej and her husband "Mr Puridech" can be seen from orbit. 

 This inclusion of a senior, decision-making Thai government civil servant in the Bhuridej smorgasbord of brutal henchman, cyberscammer-connected powerful but dumb Thai police general and a wealthy business partner of Thai billionaires must make for quite the family get-together.

FROM THE LUNCH TABLE TO THE FBI PODIUM: THAI POLICE GENERAL VISANU AND THE SANCTIONED CYBER SCAM OPERATORS

On June 8th 2026 Amnesty International released a damning report -  Falling Through the Cracks: Cambodia’s “Crackdown” on Scamming Compounds .  It catalogues the Cambodian government's complete failure to deal with the various cyberscam centers within their own borders and the impact this failure to act has had. In short, the litany of human rights' abuses associated with these centers are horrific and include rape, torture, human trafficking and human slavery. WHY WAS THE CHAIRMAN OF AIRPORTS OF THAILAND (AOT) HAVING LUNCH WITH A WELL-KNOWN CYBERSCAM CENTER OPERATOR?

About a month ago a photograph of Cambodian cyber scam center operator Rithy Raksmei and Thai Police Gen Jirabhop "Kong" Bhuridej having a friendly lunch in a Bangkok restaurant was published on the Thai news Facebook page, CSI La. The claim attached to the photo was that the gathering took place in May 2025. Within days the photograph had become national news in Thailand and had led to a somewhat mumbled and unconvincing explanation from the Thai police .
